IEH® is a frequency specific SOUND and MUSICAL-INTERVAL healing modality created and developed by Dr. Shawn Marie Higgins.
IEH is gentle yet potent.
The frequencies are applied acoustically and naturally to your body tissues and nervous system. There is no electronic equipment involved. It is all performed naturally and “by hand.”
Dr. Higgins uses tuning forks which are widely used nowadays for healing. However, IEH determines more than just random tones – it focuses on the intelligent ordering of those tones into the musical intervals that create the unique healing melody for each person, in those healing moments. This is possible by first harmonizing with the life force frequencies and musical intervals of your unique being.

What are Interval Entrainment Healing® visits like?
Dr. Higgins will determine the first frequency protocol at your initial visit spontaneously during the healing, as well as during conversation before the treatment begins.
These frequency protocols may consist of a series of healing single tones, a combination of tones to create healing musical intervals and/or a sequence of several tones that compose a unique healing musical melody, specifically for you.

The treatment -
While you are lying comfortable on a treatment massage table, precisely tuned tuning forks will be activated naturally “by hand” and then conducted through your body in (one or both)
two ways –

Mechanically via weighted tuning forks that conduct the musical vibrations through your body tissues for your cells to “hear.”

Psychoacoustically via unweighted tuning forks that conduct the musical vibrations as sound through the air for your ears hear.
THE MAGIC IS IN THE MUSIC
It is music to your cells.
Mechano-acoustic tuning forks are used to apply the vibrations of precise musical tones and intervals directly to your body tissues. In this way, the music is vibrated into your bone, muscle, soft tissues, nervous system and organs, and it is “heard by your cells.” This balances and aligns cellular integrity and function, thereby increasing your biological self-healing mechanisms’ potential to improve any imbalance or dis-ease in the body, mind and spirit.
It is music to your ears.
The frequencies may also be applied psycho-acoustically, meaning their vibrations activated through the air so that you hear them as sounds. In this way the frequencies enter your body via the hearing mechanism, sending nerve impulses to your Central Nervous System - the auditory cortex of your brain. From there, various biological cascades of cellular action and molecular reactions may be cast, conducting a biological healing response through all physiological and neurological pathways that are involved. Such biological responses may include those that are anti-inflammatory, immune system enhancing, mood enhancing via neurotransmitter shifts that support feelings of contentment, motivation and positive thinking, as well as many more.
Homework
Realizations may emerge to Dr. Higgins spontaneously during your treatment, as the harmonizing process reveals any emotional and/or physical needs that may be done on your own in between visits. This “homework” may include a wide variety of activities, such as focused meditations, neuroplasticity training techniques, thought-training and affirmations, dream work, journaling, physical body stretching and/or exercise protocols, and/or much more.
Whatever it is, it will be unique for YOU in that moment. OR there may be the realization that you need only RECEIVE the frequencies.
Each visit is a unique musical balancing dance between body, mind and spirit.
Each visit will be different! The body is dynamic and continually balancing with nature and the frequencies of all else that is around it, including those of other people, environments and situations.
At each visit, Dr. Higgins may adjust the frequency plan if needed and apply the vibrations as they are called forth by your body. As your body comes into balance and harmony among and between all of its parts as well as your life circumstance, new frequencies will be intuited by Dr. Higgins.
Sound waves are energy. Sound carries intention. Sound and energy healing go hand in hand.
Dr. Higgins has been an energy healer since 1995 and certified as a Reki Master since 2008. Sound and energy healing go hand in hand for her. Thus, her IEH treatments may also yield many beneficial effects of energy healing in addition to those of sound healing. It is all one unique vibrational continuum of balance and harmony of the body with its own experience of health, happiness and life circumstance.
All visits will be approximately 60 minutes.
